This weapon is inspired by the Pokéball from the Pokémon franchise.
I started with the base game toy ball mesh and added pieces from the Pulse Mine to create the button band around the ball's equator. I then shrank the whole thing down to be the same size as a Pool Ball.
The following properties, perks and challenges apply to this weapon:
Upon detonation, the grenade will randomly spawn a friendly pocket monster (either a fast-but-fragile melee Giant Rat, or a lumbering, ranged tank Fire Gecko) that will fight alongside the Player. The pocket monster's Confidence level is affected by the Player's Charisma stat.
Pocket monsters despawn if they “faint” (i.e. are killed), or five seconds after the end of combat. Assuming it hasn't “fainted”, it will be returned to the Player and made available for immediate re-use. If this behavior feels too much like cheating, it can be disabled by entering the console command
set aaaGLOBRecoverPocketMonster to 0
Attacking with this weapon is considered a “Minor Crime”, meaning that only the victim will become aggressive without turning their entire faction hostile.
