This mod contains replacement meshes for several base-game weapons, to fix various problems with their original implementation.
The 9mm Pistol is oversized, and thus out of proportion with the other weapons. I shrunk it down by 15%, bringing it back in scale with everything else.
The Silenced .22 Pistol is also oversized, although in this case, I opted to leave the barrel the same size and only shrink the grip. I think the larger diameter barrel makes housing an integral suppressor seem more plausible.
The Silenced .22 SMG is missing a front sight post, and also has some issues on the receiver where it would appear the modeler merged some vertices that they weren't supposed to, resulting in stretched faces appearing where they shouldn't.
The Assault Carbine's front sight was way too narrow to be used, and also inconsistent with the way an AR-15's front sight flares out towards the top. The bolt was also sunken too far into the receiver, partially poking out the opposite side.
In addition to the issues with the front sight and bolt like on the Assault Carbine, the Marksman Carbine's handguard has a misplaced copy of the vented texture without any transparency, making it look like the vents are blocked.
In addition to the issues with the front sight and bolt like on the Assault Carbine, the Service Rifle also has some improperly merged vertices in front of the trigger guard, like on the Silenced .22 SMG.
The Survivalist's Rifle has a bent front sight (which I didn't “fix” because that was an intentional design choice by the developers) but like the Assault Carbine, it's too narrow and not flared out at the top.
The Light Machine Gun's iron sights are reversed, with the post in the rear and the aperture in front, and the very tip of the muzzle has zero thickness. I elongated the front sight to make it look like protective wings, and added a post in between. I then removed the original rear sight and added the aperture from the Silenced .22 SMG. Lastly, I added a front surface to the barrel.
The Automatic Rifle has an ejection port that's closed up by a static bolt. I opened up the port and modeled an interior, then added a bolt that cycles when the gun fires.
The legacy-content Assault Rifle from Fallout 3 has an ejection port that's closed up by a static bolt. I opened up the port and modeled an interior, then added a bolt that cycles when the gun fires.
The legacy-content Chinese Assault Rifle from Fallout 3 has an ejection port that's closed up by a static bolt. I opened up the port and modeled an interior, then added a bolt that cycles when the gun fires. The charging handle is also untextured, which I fixed.
