This weapon is inspired by the H&K MP5K Operational Briefcase – more specifically the ultra-rare Zerfallkoffer (Ger. “Break-away case”) version – an innocuous-looking attaché case that conceals a compact submachine gun, intended for use by VIP protection details. A similar weapon can also be seen in the 1995 anime film Ghost in the Shell.
The name is a reference to the children's toy, where a figure (usually a clown or jester) will suddenly pop out of a plain-looking music box after a short melody is played.
I started with the legacy-content Assault Rifle mesh and replaced the magazine with the 10mm SMG Extended Mags. I then shortened the receiver to fit the magazine, and added the sling swivel from the Hunting Shotgun, the sling loop from the Service Rifle, and pieces from the Marksman Carbine to create the handguard and foregrip. Lastly, I chopped up the base game Briefcase mesh and added bits of it to the gun using the .44 Revolver Scope to make the claw mount.
The following properties, perks and challenges apply to this weapon:
This weapon can be concealed inside an armor item, meaning it won't get confiscated during weapon checks. When the armor is equipped, performing the attack animation will automatically discard the armor and deploy the SMG.
Note: You may need to click the attack key twice – once to “unholster” your fists, then once more to attack, which will trigger the switch.
When deploying the SMG, an empty briefcase shell MISC item is dropped at the Player's feet. Picking up this empty shell, and having it in your inventory along with the SMG, will automatically remove the shell and weapon and re-add the armor version to your inventory.
This weapon must be crafted at a workbench.

The reason why the briefcase is held in the left hand is so that it's faster to deploy. Held in the left hand, with the muzzle facing backwards inside the case, the shell can be dropped away and in a single motion, the weapon swung around muzzle forward to place the pistol grip into the right hand for a firing stance. While not animated during gameplay, this little detail can be seen in the direction the briefcase latches point when stowed versus when deployed.
