This weapon is loosely based on the FP-45 Liberator, a cheap, mass-produced single-shot pistol that was manufactured by the U.S. government during World War II with the intention of airdropping them into enemy-occupied territory to arm civilians and resistance fighters. Ultimately, a million of the pistols were built over the course of eleven weeks by the General Motors Guide Lamp Division, but were never used for their intended purpose and the majority were scrapped when the war ended.
I started with the base game C4 Detonator mesh and removed everything except the pistol grip. I then added the barrel and breech block from the 9mm Pistol, the trigger and trigger guard from the 9mm Submachine Gun, the rear sight aperture from the Laser RCW, and various bits and pieces from the Marksman Carbine to make the cocking piece and striker.
