This weapon is inspired by impact-firing captive bolt stunners used to slaughter livestock, typically actuated by blank cartridges. However, this weapon uses live shotgun shells and actually emits loose projectiles out of an unobstructed bore in the hammer's face.
I started with the base game Sledgehammer mesh and added the wire muzzle cage from the 10mm Submachine Gun, and pieces of the Silenced .22 SMG to make the bolt/striker. Lastly, I added the coiled antenna from the C4 Detonator to make the springs.
The following properties, perks and challenges apply to this weapon:
If the Player has 12 gauge shotgun shells in their inventory, attacking with this weapon will consume a shell and deal 20 HP bonus damage, as well as knock the target back. Critical hits to limbs will instantly gib that limb.
This weapon can be crafted at any workbench.

Mechanically, this weapon is operated by inertia. When the hammer impacts something, the head stops abruptly, but the spring-loaded bolt mass at the back continues forward to strike the primer and detonate the cartridge directly into whatever the hammer impacted.
Care must be taken not to strike the wrong face of the hammer, as doing so could fire the shell up into the user's face.
