Atomic Sparkle Cannon

This is a long-range continuous-beam energy weapon, made using the chassis of a Giddyup Buttercup robotic pony toy, that deals radiation damage to targets.

Parts Used

I started with the Giddyup Buttercup mesh from Fallout 3's Mothership Zeta DLC and folded the legs to serve as a shoulder rest and firing grip before adjusting the angle of the head. I then reversed the direction of the tail so as not to obstruct the projectile node, and rigged the whole thing to use the same animation set as the Tesla Cannon.

This weapon must be purchased from Dr. Quarton, and cannot otherwise be obtained without console commands.

Project #E-905-R - "Atomic Sparkle Cannon"

When I first encountered Subject X, he appeared to be stockpiling these
old robotic ponies. For what purpose, I cannot even begin to fathom, but
it would be a shame to let them go to waste. The internal mechanisms can
be repurposed as spare parts, but the chassis take up so much room. I
decided to use one as a housing for my latest project, the long-range
radiation projector. Needing a relatively flat and unobstructed spot to
mount the emitter, I turned it around backwards. Of course, the issue is
that now when firing, it appears as though the pony is defecating rainbows,
but no matter! If it looks stupid but it works, it's not stupid.

Alternate Mesh

I made an alternate version that turns the pony around so the beam shoots out from its mouth, if you would prefer that.
