The 9x36mm round is a specialty subsonic rifle cartridge intended for stealthy use in suppressed firearms from the Communist Bloc. Essentially a 7.92x36mm Round necked up to 9mm, it is designed to compensate for the smaller cartridge's reduction in stopping power when fired at subsonic velocities.

This is a custom ammunition type created especially for the NIF-Bashed Weapons Mega-Pack.

Types

There are two varieties of 9x36mm ammunition available:

• 9x36mm Subsonic Round – This conventional lead core full metal jacket bullet features an air pocket in the tip, which increases its tendency to yaw or “keyhole” upon impact, thus increasing soft tissue damage in human targets.
• 9x36mm, Armor-Piercing – Features a hardened metal armor-piercing core to punch through light armor, vehicles, or light barrier targets while retaining enough power to inflict damage to a soft target behind it. (-15 DT, 0.95x Damage)
