This weapons is a standard Hunting Rifle, converted into a semi-automatic by adding a gas tube and slide cam to operate the bolt handle when firing. It's loosely inspired by both the Howell and Charlton systems developed during the period between the two World Wars. In real-life, there ought to be more protection for the shooter from the moving parts, but I wanted to show off the mechanism.
I started with the base game Hunting Rifle mesh and added the gas tube from the Automatic Rifle, part of the barrel shroud from the Sniper Rifle, and the peep sight from the Brush Gun.
