This weapon is inspired by the WWII German FG 42, designed for use by paratroopers who needed something lighter and more compact than the standard-issue bolt-action rifle of the day. It debuted too late in the war to see much use in the field (and never once parachuted from a plane), but served as the design blueprint for much post-war small-arms development.
I started with the base game Marksman Carbine mesh and removed everything except the buttstock. I then added the pistol grip from the .44 Magnum Revolver, the trigger guard from the Silenced .22 SMG, the tube receiver from the 9mm Submachine Gun, the magazine from the Assault Carbine, pieces from the Bozar, the barrel from the Automatic Rifle, and the muzzle brake from the Gauss Rifle.
