This is a wearable guitar case that, instead of simply boosting your Carry Weight stat, acts as a portable container with a limited storage capacity – allowing you to store up to 16 lbs. of loot while itself weighing only 5 lbs. The case does not get searched when entering weapon-restricted areas, allowing you to sneak in weapons larger than a pistol or submachine gun.

The name is inspired by the character El Mariachi, most-famously played by Antonio Banderas in the Mexico Trilogy of films, who carries a similar guitar case full of guns.

Parts Used

I started with the base game Acoustic Guitar mesh, removing the neck, bridge, and strings to isolate the shape of the guitar body. I then added pieces of the Bozar to make the neck, and added the handle from the Suitcase, before retexturing the whole thing using the suitcase texture.

Usage Notes

By default, the case can hold 10 lbs. but a higher Sneak skill will increase its carrying capacity as per the following table:

If you try to stuff in more than the case can hold, it won't let you, displaying a message saying that the case can't hold any more. The case will be auto-equipped on the player as soon as you pick it up, simulating the player slinging it over their shoulder. To use it, you must drop it onto the ground and activate it. A menu will pop up showing the maximum capacity of the case, as well as giving you the option to Open or Take it.
