Pop-quiz, hotshot! It's the middle of the night, every store is closed, and you're all out of ammo. Do you wait for sunrise like a chump, slinking over to the nearest merchant and subjecting yourself to their shameful gaze, knowing that they know you couldn't last the night? Or, do you seize control of the situation, rock up to the Amm-O-Matic like a boss and take what you need right now? All ammo, all the time, Amm-O-Matic!
This colossally-irresponsible idea is inspired by cigarette vending machines, most prevalent from the 1950s to the 1980s, that essentially relied on the honor system to keep cigarettes out of the hands of minors.
The Amm-O-Matic machines are automatically added to each Wasteland by their respective weapon vendor plugins – Vlad for New Vegas, and Reginald for Tale of Two Wastelands.
The Amm-O-Matic sells conventional, gunpowder-based ammo by the box and charges the full base price plus 30-50%, without any Barter- or reputation-based discounts (Think of it as a convenience fee). It has a finite number of boxes available and keeps track of how many boxes remain in the machine. The machine restocks on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with a random number of boxes (At least one, at most ten).
If you don't want the vending machine to show up in your game, you can disable it by using the console command set aaaGLOBEnableAmmOMatic to 0
