Inspired by the weapon Unlabored Flawlessness from the videogame Ninja Gaiden, which is the weakest sword in the game, but upon fully upgrading it, the damage it deals increases as the player's health gets lower. Likewise, the BB Gun is perhaps the weakest weapon in the game, but this version, in the hands of a skilled player, can now handily take down Super Mutants and Deathclaws.
I started with the base game BB Gun mesh, cloned some of the cordage wrapping the stock and placed it on the handguard, then added two feathers from the female Well-Heeled Gambler Hat.
The following properties, perks and challenges apply to this weapon:
The weapon has a base damage of 4, but deals additional bonus damage. \[ BonusDamage = \frac {(\frac {BaseHealth} {100})} {GetHealthPercentage} \]
In the GECK, the GetHealthPercentage function returns a value between 0 and 1, so 50% health is expressed as 0.5. So, assuming we have a brand new character with a max health of 200, who has been injured to the point where he only has 15 HP left, we get \( \frac {\frac {200} {100}} {0.075} \), which equals \( \frac {2} {0.075} \), which equals 26.667 bonus points of damage, on top of the 4 that the BB Gun normally deals. This gives us a total damage of 30.667 points of damage per non-critical shot, 34.667 points if it's a critical hit.
The higher you upgrade your max health, while keeping your actual health as low as possible, will maximize your damage output. In Fallout: New Vegas, the maximum attainable health, with all DLC, perks, etc., is 885. So, a character with that maximum but only 1 HP remaining would deal \( \frac {\frac {885} {100}} {0.00113} \), or a whopping 7832.25 points of damage per shot.
This weapon can only be be acquired by offering 2,500 HP to The Bronze Oracle, and presenting a generic BB Gun to be converted. It cannot otherwise be obtained without console commands.
