This “grenade” is a weapon used primarily to distract enemies. Mostly harmless, it “explodes” and spawns a realistic-looking holographic decoy that draws aggro so that the user can slip away in the confusion.
I started with the base game Pulse Grenade mesh and simply made both ends symmetrical. I then retextured the torus shape using the glowing texture of the Alien Power Cell, to suggest a holographic emitter on each end.
The following properties, perks and challenges apply to this weapon:
Attacking with this weapon is considered a “Minor Crime”, meaning that only the victim will become aggressive without turning their entire faction hostile.
By default, the decoy hologram only lasts for thirty seconds. This can be changed by entering the console command
set aaaGLOBHologramDecoyLifetime to # where # is any numerical value. The default value is 30.
