This weapon is a re-configured fully-automatic variant of the Combat Shotgun from Fallout 3. The design of the Combat Shotgun, with the drum mag fitted so far forward on the gun, wastes a lot of space - giving the weapon a greater overall length, but leaving it with a ridiculously short barrel (by my estimation, only 6-8“ or so) which in turn makes for poor accuracy. This weapon has the magazine moved rearward to its proper position just in front of the trigger group.
I started with the legacy-content Combat Shotgun mesh from Fallout 3 and chopped it up until the magazine was placed behind the handguard. I also moved the charging handle onto the bolt itself, and re-aligned the iron sights before converting the mesh to use the Assault Carbine handling and reload animations.
