Entry Carbine

This weapon is inspired by the MC51K, a custom-made variant of the H&K G3 rifle used briefly by the British SAS and SBS in the early '90s. As a full-auto .308 with a minuscule 4“ barrel, it has been jokingly dubbed the “portable flashbang dispenser” due to its excessive muzzle blast. Also, since tactical rails weren't really a thing back in those days, lights and accessories (such as this period-accurate D-cell Maglite) had to be hose-clamped to the top.

Parts Used

I started with the legacy-content Assault Rifle mesh from Fallout 3 and re-worked the proportions a bit, shortening the receiver and lengthening the magazine well. I then straightened out the magazine and widened it to make it look like a 30-round .308 mag. I also gave the magazine release paddle a more aggressive angle, and rotated the rear sight drum so that it can be used in true iron sights mode. I then added the sight rail and scope rings from the .44 Magnum Revolver, the hose clamps from the Caravan Shotgun, the sling swivel from the Hunting Shotgun, the sling loop from the Service Rifle, and pieces from the Marksman Carbine to create the handguard and foregrip.

Usage Notes

This weapon has an integrated tactical light that will automatically turn on when the weapon is unholstered and shine a light wherever the reticle is pointed. Enemies will be alerted by the light. The light is automatically deactivated when sneaking, but can be manually turned on by aiming down sights.

Additionally, this weapon's projectile casts the same effect as the Flash Bang grenade from the Lonesome Road DLC.

Procurement

This weapon must be custom built to order by Vlad, and cannot otherwise be obtained without console commands.
