Based upon the legendary Kalashnikov-pattern assault rifle, making a more faithful-looking version using purely base-game assets was something I'd been trying to crack for years before finally managing to do so.
I started with the base game Silenced .22 SMG mesh, cutting it up before adding the receiver from the 25mm Grenade APW, the stock from the Cowboy Repeater, various pieces from the legacy-content Chinese Assault Rifle, the upper handguard from the Light Machine Gun, and the bolt carrier from the Hunting Shotgun.
