This weapon is inspired by the kind of AR-pattern pistol-caliber carbines that are rapidly gaining popularity in the shooting community due to their enhanced accuracy compared to a handgun, while also being lighter weight and easier to handle (less noise and recoil) compared to a rifle. Some can even directly accept pistol magazines, simplifying logistics.
I started with the base game Marksman Carbine mesh and removed the buttstock and scope before shortening the handguard. Then, I added the collapsing stock from the Assault Carbine and replaced the magazine with the one from the 10mm Pistol.
