This weapon is loosely based on the notorious Intratec TEC-9, one of the original weapons whose proliferation directly led to the 1994 United States Federal Assault Weapons Ban (where it was even outlawed by name!). It was extremely popular among urban gangsters due to its low cost and its open-bolt action, which made it easy to convert to full-auto.
I started with the base game 9mm Submachine Gun mesh and deleted everything except for the magazine, bolt, and tube receiver. I then added pieces from the Assault Carbine, the grip from the Automatic Rifle, the trigger guard from the Anti-Materiel Rifle, the rear sight from the Varmint Rifle, and the magazine release and charging handle from the legacy-content Chinese Assault Rifle.
