This weapon is inspired by the Smith & Wesson Model 327 M&P R8. I read somewhere that SWAT team pointmen carrying ballistic shields will sometimes use revolvers such as this because the moving parts on a semi-automatic pistol can get snagged on the shield or other obstacles and cause a jam, leaving the operator vulnerable without a free hand to clear the weapon.
I started with the base game .44 Magnum Revolver, removed the barrel, chopped up the cylinder to give it eight chambers instead of six, and cut a V-notch into the top strap to serve as a rear sight. I then added the grip from the 12.7mm Pistol, the Hunting Revolver Match Barrel from the Gun Runners' Arsenal DLC, the front sight from the Silenced .22 Pistol, the glowing night sights from the 9mm Pistol, and the 10mm Pistol Laser Sight. Lastly, I replaced the .44 Magnum shells in the cylinder with .357 shells from the .357 Magnum Revolver.
The following properties, perks and challenges apply to this weapon:
When equipped and unholstered, the gun will highlight hostile targets in red (the same effect as Boone's Spotter perk) and also slow down time when actively aiming, at the cost of Action Points. This mimics the slow-motion “breach and clear” mechanic from the Call of Duty videogame franchise. The time-slowing mechanic can't be triggered if you're already detected, since you've lost the element of surprise.
This weapon must be custom built to order by Vlad, and cannot otherwise be obtained without console commands.
