Automatic .308 Battle Rifle

The R91 Assault Rifle from Fallout 3 appears to be based on a 5.56mm variant of the venerable H&K G3 rifle. With my fondness for .308 rifles, I decided to restore it to its proper glory. There are three variants available - a standard-length rifle, a shorter-barreled carbine, and a stockless, short-barreled submachine gun.

Parts Used

I started with the legacy-content Assault Rifle mesh from Fallout 3 and re-worked the proportions a bit, shortening the receiver and lengthening the magazine well. I then straightened out the magazine and widened it to make it look like a 20-round .308 mag. I also gave the magazine release paddle a more aggressive angle, and rotated the rear sight drum so that it can be used in true iron sights mode.
